Philippine guerrillas warn US troops on war games

"An increasing number of US combat troops and spies are directly interfering in the armed conflicts in the Philippines," a spokesman for the rebel group, said in a statement.

About 300 US soldiers are due to take part in the annual "Balikatan" (shoulder-to-shoulder) exercises that are likely to start on Feb. 23 in several parts of Luzon, a Philippine army spokesman said.
