Turkey: Heavy Rains Cause Major Flooding, Wrecking Havoc In Istanbul

Severe thunderstorms hit Istanbul, causing major flooding on Thursday, September 28. Turkey Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) issued a warning and sent an SMS message to the citizens’ mobile phones. Governor Davut Gül called for the evacuation.
