Iran’s Ashamed Hatemi Could Not Come To Ankara
Calling the cabinet for an immediate meeting, Hatemi announced that he postponed his visit to Turkey 48 hours before.
Turkish diplomats described the decision as follows: "There is a dispute between the reformist and the conservative. Hatemi attaches big importance to Ankara. The conservatives started action to sabotage the reformists.
Hatemi opened an opposition flag. Instead of arriving in Turkey as a lame duck, he preferred to revolt to his parliament."
Iranian Government spokesman Abdullah Ramazanzade said "The government decided to postpone the visit until the two bilateral agreements are concluded.
The Iranian Parliament imposed the condition of Parliamentary approval last Wednesday, on only two Turkish companies, namely Tepe Akfen and Iran-Cell (Which Turkcell has a share).
Hatemi personally called Erdogan and voiced his regrets over the postponement, adding that Iran and Turkey had an unshakable relationship.
