Egypt Takes Role in Iraqi Police Training

NATO’s training of Iraqi security forces both inside and outside of Iraq continues after a decision was reached at NATO June summit in Istanbul. A 57-person team is currently training Iraqi police in Bagdat (Baghdad). Turkey contributed two military officers to the NATO team.

The second phase of training calls for 35,000 Iraqi police to be trained outside of Iraq.
