Starbucks Coffee opened a branch in Ankara.

Starbucks Chairman Howard Schultz, CEO of MH Alshaya Mohammed Alshaya, Ankara Trade Chamber (ATO) Chairman Sinan Aygun and many guests attended the opening ceremony of the shop.

Schultz, who is also creator of Starbucks trade mark, said that the branch in Istanbul drew very much interest and added that they aimed to reach the same potential in Ankara as well. He noted that they also wanted to open branches in other provinces of Turkey.

First Starbucks was opened in Seattle Pike Place in 1971 and then it extended Japan, Hawaii and Singapore in 1996. Starbucks has more than 8,000 branches all over the world.

Second branch of Starbucks in Ankara will be opened in Armada Shopping Center.
