Japan Determined to Stay in Iraq

A Japanese Foreign Ministry official said earlier today that Japan plans to continue with its activities in Iraq.

The official stressed that Japan is on a humanitarian mission in Iraq and that both the Iraqi people and its government are appreciative of Japan efforts.

The threats against the Japanese soldiers are being investigated, added the official.
