Libya’s Nuclear Weapons Passed Through Turkey

Reportedly, the equipment was gathered in Turkey and then sent on to Libya via Dubai. Libya declared that it gave up its weapons of mass destruction program in December and signed a supplementary protocol promising detailed investigation. A United Nations diplomat told Reuters News Agency that Libya informed the IAEA about the ship immediately and denied reports that it bought nuclear equipment from North Korea. Turkey was first mentioned in association with the equipment in a report prepared by Malaysian police about Abdulkadir Han, the founder of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program.
