Turkey Cancels an Israeli Visit
Well-informed sources in Ankara, pointed out that canceling of the Israeli official’s visit was a part of the Turkish government’s stance towards the Israeli practices through the occupied Palestinians territories.
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Ministry called in a statement for stopping the Israeli military operation in Rafah City, particularly the houses demolition.
Malaysia, from it part, condemned in the strongest terms yesterday the Israeli warplanes and tanks shelling of a peaceful Palestinian demonstration in Rafah last Wednesday, claiming lives of 18 civilians, mostly children as well as the other actions including the houses demolition.
Malaysian Prime Minster, Abdullah Badawi, issued a statement, emphasizing that any Israeli attack is a part of the Israeli long-list violations of international and humanitarian laws.
Badawi called on the Israeli leaders to abide by the international community’s wishes as well as the United Nations Security Council’s latest resolution 1544, which clearly denounces killing of Palestinian civilians.
In Cyprus, the Cyprus Peace Council condemned the ‘brutal’ Israeli practices against the Palestinian people, emphasizing the need for stopping killing Palestinians in cool blood.
In the Arab state of Qatar, a Foreign Ministry senior official reiterated his country’s backing to the Palestinian people’s struggle for their legitimate rights, including the right to self-determination to establish a Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital.
