Turkish Republic of N. Cyprus PM heading to US

Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat will stay overnight in New York before travelling to Washington for his meeting with Powell on May 4. He is also expected to have discussions with United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan regarding recent developments on Cyprus, including the Greek Cypriot rejection of the UN brokered plan to reunify the two states on the island.
Talat and the delegation of TRNC officials accompanying him will return to Istanbul on May 6 and then proceed to TRNC on May 7.
