Talat: Impossible to Accept Postponement

Talat, responding to a question whether AKEL’s attempt to postpone the referendum could have had ulterior motives, said, "I would first have to talk to AKEL higher-ups to say that. I do expect to meet them and to see and understand their intentions."

Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat added, "I will find an opportunity to explain why it is impossible for us to postpone the referendum."
