Philippines arrests four Turks in terror probe

The men were arrested on Wednesday night in Cotabato City, in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, home to a large Muslim population. The men have been flown to Manila for interrogation.

"They are now undergoing tactical interrogation on suspicion they are members of a terrorist group," military spokesman Daniel Lucero told Reuters.

Lucero said he did not know which foreign groups the four men were linked to. He also said he was not aware of a raid on Turkish leftists in Europe, in which authorities in five countries have detained 41 people on Thursday.
