46 Die in Latest Attacks on Iraqi Police

Iraqi Interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi has meanwhile declared that the elections will be held on January 30 as planned after Iraqi Interim President Gazi al-Yawar released a statement recommending a postponement of the elections on Tuesday (January 4). A high level executive official in the Sunni Iraqi Islamic Party boycotting the elections was also killed.
