3 Killed in Turkey’s First Typhoon Disaster
Within 25 minutes the typhoon, drawing a 30-meter line, destroyed all. Hayriye Cimli, 60, and her children Kursat,7, and Bahad,9, were killed in a truck which they took shelter. 21 people, including one in heavy condition, were wounded.
The Typhoon hit the Sunlu village, at a 3 kilometer distance to the township, at about 13.00 Saturday. 45 houses were destroyed and 19 homes were heavily damaged. The Ankara Municipality announced that it will supply food to the victims for 4 days.
The village with 85 homes and a 611 population was shattered of the disaster, as many live-stcok were also killed.
