2003 Exports Expected to Exceed $40 Bln Goal

Emphasizing that Turkish Eximbank had paved the way for exports with its recently issued regulations, Kayalar said the organization would increase its present support to the export sector and could meet the sector’s requirements by way of its new regulations.

Kayalar noted that in 2003, $3 billion in cash loans and $3.5 billion in insurance and guaranty support would be provided to exporters, in compliance with foreign trade policies and a strategy to improve commercial relations with neighboring countries as determined by the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade (DTM).
