2 Greek Cypriots Overshadow Peace Atmosphere in Cyprus

Without subsiding, the Greek Cypriot brothers also beat a Greek taxi driver who gave Turks a ride to their old house. After the taxi-driver reported the incident to the Greek police, 45 and 38 year-old brothers were arrested. Meanwhile, the Greek Justice and Public Safety Minister Doros Theodoru said that he was upset about the incident and he described it as an individual attack. Theodoru said: "It is quite sad that there are some people, even if it is a small amount, who want to ruin this beautiful atmosphere formed between the Greek and the Turkish." Theodoru stated that the assailants would be harshly punished according to the laws of the state although it was an individual attack.

On the other hand, the Greek National Council will assemble today in order to discuss the latest developments about free passages.

Greek Cypriot administration does not allow TRNC citizens to use their cars by not recognizing their driver licenses.
