143 detained in Turkey for receiving training in Afghanistan,

Speaking at a weekly news briefing, Security Department Deputy Director and Spokesman Ramazan Er said that police continued to fight against terrorist organizations without making any discrimination.

Er said that 808 people were detained in 392 operations in 2003 against the terrorist organizations with religious motives, adding that 334 of them were arrested and 474 of them were released.

He added that between Jan. 1 and March 29 this year, 69 operations were launched against the terrorist organizations with religious motives, stressing that 143 people were captured. Enditem
