10 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip

ANKARA

At least 10 Palestinians were killed on Sunday in separate Israeli attacks targeting several areas in the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources told Anadolu that eight Palestinians were killed and several others injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

Official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that “occupation (Israeli) warplanes targeted a house in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, killing eight citizens and wounding dozens.”

“The occupation warplanes targeted a group of citizens near the power station north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing two Palestinians and injuring others,” Wafa reported.

Israeli artillery also bombed western and southern areas of the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, it said, adding that the Israeli army also blew up several houses in the Brazil neighborhood, in the southern part of the city.

Flouting a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, Israel has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on Gaza since an Oct. 7 attack by Hamas.

More than 37,500 Palestinians have since been killed in Gaza, most of them women and children, and more than 85,900 others injured, according to local health authorities.

More than eight months into the Israeli war, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.

Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, whose latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt its operation in Rafah, where more than 1 million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
