Here are the top stories in Savannah today:

  1. Chatham County has decided to allow early voting for the Georgia runoff election beginning on Sunday, Nov. 27. The state will not be allowing early voting on Saturday, Nov. 26. All Georgia counties are required to offer early voting from Monday, Nov. 28, through Friday, Dec. 2. The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot in the runoff election is Monday, Nov. 28. (WTOC)
  2. Georgia Power recognized National Utility Scam Awareness Day on Tuesday. The utility reports that over 3,500 scam attempts have been reported to Georgia Power in 2022. Savannah customers are encouraged to remain cautious of individuals claiming to be Georgia Power representatives. Click for a list of tips to avoid becoming the victim of a utility scam. (WSAV)
  3. WJCL’s Turkey Drive 22 has resulted in 415 turkeys being collected for local families in need. The turkeys will be distributed to over 241 different organizations that feed low-income families. Last year’s Turkey Drive collected only 230 turkeys. (WJCL News Savannah)
