🇹🇷 Turkey: Sertab Erener to Perform as Interval Act at Eurovision 2024? – Eurovoix
Turkey’s Eurovision winner Sertab Erener is reported to be an interval act at Eurovision 2024 according to Turkish media.
Eurovision 2003 winner Sertab Erener is reported by Turkish media to have stated she will be performing at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. NTV reports that the singer said at a concert in Istanbul that she has been invited by SVT to perform during the contest in May.
The outlet goes on to say that she will be performing a new version of “Everyway That I Can”, with which she won the Eurovision Song Contest 2003. This would mark the first appearance of a Turkish Eurovision participant in the contest since their final participation in 2012.
SVT the host broadcaster for Eurovision 2024, has not revealed any details of the interval act performances that will take place during the contest.
Eurovision 2024
Loreen won the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest for Sweden with “Tattoo”. She is the first female two-time winner of the competition, having previously won the 2012 contest with “Euphoria”.
Ultimately, this is Sweden’s seventh Eurovision win, following victories in 1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012 and 2015. This makes Sweden the joint most successful country in Eurovision alongside Ireland. Loreen has also become the first woman and the second person overall to win Eurovision twice.
Malmö will host the contest for the third time, having previously hosted in 1992 and 2013.

Turkey first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975. During the 20th century, Turkey only managed to place in the top 10 on two occasions, ninth in 1986 and third in 1997. Turkey won in 2003 with “Every Way That I Can”, their first ever entry completely in English. They went on to achieve six top 10 results in the following years. They withdrew in 2013, citing dissatisfaction with the rules of the contest.
