The workers of the market said that every year on the same day they witness the fires. They said the causes of the fires were not clear.

Rice Meets Sharon, Invites Abbas To White House

JERUSALEM, June 29 – U.S. national security adviser Condoleezza Rice met Sunday, June 29, with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to tackle the U.S.-driven \'roadmap\' and the \"war on terror\" following her Saturday\'s talks with Palestinian premier Mahmud Abbas during which she invited him to visit Washington.

Earlier in the day, Rice met with Sharon\'s top aide, Dov Weisglass, and Palestinian finance minister Salam Fayad, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported according to the Israeli public radio.

\"Rice went into discussions with Dov Weisglass and Salam Fayad on civilian issues,\" the radio said without specifying where the meeting was taking place.

Palestinian Organizations halt the attacks Against Israel

Istanbul, TURKEY, June 28, 2003 - Palestinian armed groups Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Yassar Arafat's El Fetih Organization have agreed to suspend attacks on the state of Israel. In a statement to the French news agency AFP yesterday, Abdulaziz Rantisi, Hamas' political representative, said the three organizations had reached an agreement to halt the attacks and that an announcement would be made in few days.

InternationalGAZA, – The Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas has reportedly agreed to suspend attacks against Israeli targets, but its senior leaders said an announcement was yet to be made as talks are still under way with other Palestinian factions for a joint formula.

Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin told Reuters \"Hamas has studied all the developments and has reached a decision to call a truce, or a suspension of fighting activities.\"
