Recep Tayyip Erdogan calls on Russia and China to change position

InternationalTurkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Sunday Ankara's firm will to continue supporting armed groups opposing the Government of Syrian President Bashar al-Asad. Erdogan was speaking in Ankara, the capital, during the congress Justice and Development Party (AKP), which celebrated a decade of electoral success and the strong economic growth in Turkey.

"We do what we would a brother. And we will continue to provide logistical support to the Syrian people," the Turkish prime minister. Turkey, along with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United States, is accused of arming and funding terrorist groups operating in the Arab country, in a bid to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but Russia and China, members permanent Security Council of the UN, are strongly opposed to Western unity to end the Damascus government. Hence, during the event, which was also attended by Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, asked Erdogan to Russia and China a change of position on Al-Asad. since mid-March 2011, Syria lives lost in a wave of violence orchestrated from abroad, whose ultimate goal is blaming the government in Damascus of the crisis and thus allow foreign military intervention.
