Asli Cakir, gold in about 1,500 Turkish women with double

Asli Cakir The Turkish athlete has won the gold medal in the 1,500 m test of the London Olympics, after crossing the finish line in a time of 4:10:23, ahead of compatriot Gamze Bulut and Bahraini Maryam Jamal. In a career that began with relative calm, Cakir, brand new Champion in Helsinki 2012 and one of the major candidates in London, dominated his fetish test from the first meters and starred in an impressive sprint final to become the new Olympic champion.

The highlight of the test came jumper with 400 meters time at which all the athletes began to play his cards to reach the top positions. All eyes focused on the U.S. Uceny Morgan, who had to leave the race by a fall, and the Turkish Cakir, who was proclaimed winner with solvency.

Bulut Gamze stopped the clock in 4.10:40 and picked up a deserved silver medal, confirming the double Turkish. Meanwhile, Maryam Jamal won the bronze with a time of 4:10:74.
